. Masonic History

THE HISTORY of Freemasonry covers a vast body of research, articles, books, magazines, charts, art, artifacts and related media. In the pages of this website a selection of material is presented to reflect some of the interesting aspects of this History. Other aspects of this may also be found in our pages relating to Masonic Philosophy and Masonic Geometry.

  • Other Lodge Histories includes the Craft Masonry series by County [District] where may be found Lodge Histories for nearly every Lodge in the Grand Lodge. Also in this section is a List of Lodges where may be found a Listing of all of the Lodges in the Provincial and Grand Lodge of New York from 1739 to the Present.
  • Genealogical Charts, among other files, includes GMs of England, Scotland and Ireland, which is an interesting file of the genealogical interrelationships of the Grand Masters of England, Scotland and Ireland. These Charts are linked together so that the reader may go from one Chart to another where noted.

Masonic Philosophy and Ritual

PHILOSOPHY, in the Masonic sense, covers a vast body of research, articles, books, magazines, charts, art, artifacts and related media. Several major areas of this philosophy come from its Rituals, old Constitutions and Manuscripts, and from the many works that have spun off from these into a very divers body ranging from the scholarly, to the speculative, and to the fringes thereof.

In the pages of this website a selection of material is presented to reflect some of the interesting aspects of this Philosophy and the numerous efforts to sort out the ‘meaning’ of it. Other aspects of this may also be found in our pages relating to Masonic History and Masonic Geometry.

One work of this nature you will find on our Masonic Geometry page, under the title of “Freemasonry and a View of the Perennial World Philosophy.” It will be uploaded in Chapters as time permits.

  • Among the files in this section are the three complete Preston Craft Lectures and a Cover Letter
  • Also a list of Early Masonic Documents and Manuscripts.

Masonic Geometry

THERE REALLY IS NO SUCH THING as “Masonic Geometry,” if one were to search through the official literature of the Craft. However, in that Geometry is the ‘basis of Freemasonry,’ many writers, myself included, have taken up the pen to ‘speculate’ on some possible correlations as to why Geometry may be its ‘basis.’ This, too, covers a large body of Masonic and other research, articles, books, magazines, charts, art, and related media ranging from the scholarly, to the speculative, and to the fringes thereof.

In the pages of this website a selection of material is presented to reflect some of the interesting aspects of this Geometry and the numerous efforts to sort out the ‘meaning’ of it. Other aspects of this may also be found in our pages relating to Masonic History and Masonic Philosophy.
